The Oxide committee is selected on an annual basis. They are responsible for the overall running of the station for the academic year. Student radio is at the heart of university culture across the country and further afield, giving students the opportunity to share their passions with a global audience. We at Oxide pride ourselves on providing the platform and support to ensure that interested students can get fully involved in radio broadcasting in many ways.

Get Involved

The station wouldn’t be anything without its volunteers, and you can be involved. If you’re a novice, a veteran, just interested or want to do something different, then Oxide Radio is the place for you!

Join the PLaylist Team

We have a large number of students who contribute their favourite tunes to the playlists that broadcast between shows, and we're always looking for more! If you're passionate about music but don't want to commit to presenting a show then this is ideal! It doesn't take up much time but allows you to have your impact on the station.

Become a Producer or researcher

It can be a lot of work running your own radio show, which is why many of our presenters are indebted to their producers and researchers for all the hard work they do behind the scenes. If you’d like to get some experience in radio or just don’t want to present your own show at the moment, being a producer or researcher may be for you.
